Project Architect | New Haven, CT or Philadelphia, PA | Senior Level

About the Role

We are seeking a Project Architect with 8+ years of professional experience to lead projects from concept through construction. This role requires demonstrated technical expertise, team leadership, and client-facing experience. Candidates must be registered or actively pursuing licensure and local to New Haven, CT (in-office at least three days per week) or Philadelphia, PA.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage all phases of design and documentation for projects of varying scale and complexity

  • Supervise and mentor teams; review and approve work of staff, consultants, and contractors

  • Provide final review of code analysis, material selections, and specifications

  • Oversee construction document production and management of BIM models

  • Lead coordination with project managers, consultants, and clients to ensure design and technical excellence

  • Implement best practices for quality documentation and risk mitigation

  • Champion design excellence while balancing efficiency and feasibility

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture

  • Architectural registration (or actively pursuing licensure)

  • 8+ years of experience in an architecture office

  • Experience in residential, K–12 schools, and/or laboratory design

  • Advanced proficiency in Revit; working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, Rhino, and 3ds Max

  • Strong leadership, collaboration, and communication skills

  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and mentor junior staff
