Senior Electrical Engineer | Nashville, TN | Mid–Senior Level (PE Preferred)

Salary: $90-120K

Total compensation package value:  $115k - $135K

About the Role

A growing design team in Nashville, TN is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design for commercial, healthcare, retail, and institutional projects. This full-time, in-office role is ideal for an experienced engineer who can manage projects from concept through construction, mentor junior staff, and contribute technical expertise in a collaborative, integrated A/E environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead design of electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems

  • Perform load calculations, short-circuit analysis, and ensure NEC/code compliance

  • Review submittals, answer RFIs, and coordinate with contractors and consultants

  • Collaborate across disciplines with architects, mechanical engineers, and design teams

  • Conduct site visits and provide construction administration support

  • Mentor and guide junior engineers and designers

  • Manage design deliverables, schedules, and budgets for assigned projects

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering

  • 5+ years of experience in building electrical systems (commercial, healthcare, retail, or institutional preferred)

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred; strong EIT candidates actively progressing toward PE considered

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and/or MicroStation

  • Strong communication and coordination skills, with experience managing client and contractor relationships

  • Knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and construction practices
