Field Services Manager – MEP Construction

Salary Range: $110,000 – $148,500 annually (DOE)
Total Compensation Package: $125,000 – $165,000+ (including benefits and incentives)

About the Role

LTY Engineers is seeking a Field Services Manager to join our Houston office. This position is ideal for a seasoned field inspector or associate-level professional ready to step into leadership. You’ll take ownership of inspection workflows and construction administration while collaborating closely with clients, contractors, and project teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage construction administration for all LTY projects.

• Develop and maintain inspection workflows across project phases.

• Act as a primary liaison between clients, contractors, and internal teams.

• Coordinate and maintain inspection schedules with architects and contractors.

• Conduct field inspections and produce timely, accurate reports.

• Monitor and respond to RFIs and change proposal requests.

• Ensure compliance with safety, quality standards, and project specifications.

• Review and interpret shop drawings, specifications, and construction documents.

• Collaborate with principals and project managers to uphold LTY’s standards.

• Make informed construction-related decisions in the field when required.

Qualifications

• Experience: 5+ years in MEP construction or consulting.

• Strong field project management background within MEP consulting preferred.

• Ability to read and interpret MEP construction documents and specifications.

• Working knowledge of building codes and compliance standards.

• Technical proficiency in:

  • Electrical: Power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, security, intercom, access control.

  • Mechanical: HVAC and temperature controls.

  • Plumbing: Domestic water, sanitary/storm, gas/compressed air, fire sprinklers.

• Strong organization, time management, and communication skills.

• Ability to manage multiple projects under deadlines.

• Team-oriented with a collaborative mindset.
