Role Overview
The Sr. Mechanical Engineer will apply advanced knowledge of mechanical systems design to create detailed construction documents and provide ongoing professional support throughout the full project lifecycle. This position serves as a key liaison between the design team and the client, ensuring seamless coordination, quality assurance, and project delivery. The Sr. Mechanical Engineer will also mentor junior engineers and designers, contributing to the growth and development of the team.
Key Responsibilities
Produce accurate and timely mechanical design elements consistent with project specifications and within project hours and scope.
Develop engineering construction documents appropriate for permitting, including HVAC load calculations and specifications.
Serve as the primary point of coordination and communication between the design team and clients from project kickoff through completion.
Provide project management oversight, including scheduling, deadlines, site surveys, punch lists, and compliance with building codes and standards.
Actively participate in client meetings and post-design consultation to ensure successful project delivery.
Execute QA/QC processes consistently to maintain company quality standards.
Research design options, select appropriate equipment, and ensure project deliverables meet technical and regulatory requirements.
Mentor junior engineers and CAD designers, supporting their professional growth and integration into projects.
Support accurate and timely billing and documentation related to assigned projects.
Collaborate across disciplines to continuously improve processes, drive efficiencies, and reduce costs.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (required).
Strong understanding of construction processes and interpretation of construction drawings.
Expert knowledge of building codes, standards, and mechanical engineering principles.
Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit.
Demonstrated experience in project management.
Preferred Qualifications
Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
Proven expertise in a specific mechanical engineering sector.

Self-starter with a positive, professional attitude.
Ability to multi-task and manage multiple deadlines.
Travel Requirements
Travel anticipated between 0–10%.
