Our client is a private investment firm with a primary focus on global real estate with over $56 billion in AUM. The assistant controller will be based out of their Atlanta, GA office and will help with all real estate accounting functions.
Responsibilities:
Creating financial statements for clients as well as upper management
Preparing monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reports
Assists with management of accounting, auditing, and tax reporting within the organization
Assists with preparations for audits
Works to reconcile accounting inaccuracies or imbalances
Uses accounting software to maintain records and prepare reports
Contributes to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed
Supervises accounting and admin staff
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field
7 years of experience in real estate accounting
Strong Excel and Yardi skills a plus
Highly skilled in math, accounting and financial processes
