Essential functions:
- Full accounting responsibility for an assigned group of properties - including monthly and annual closings, recording of amortization and depreciation, accrual adjustments and preparation of month-end journal entries
- Prepare close for end of period
- Preparation of financial statements
- Monitor cash balances and complete wire requests
- Reconcile bank accounts
- Coordinate Accounts Payable
- Calculate percentage rent charges in accordance with lease terms
- Calculate tenant CAM charges in accordance with lease terms and prepare annual reconciliations
- Assist with the annual budget preparation
- Assist with the annual audit/review and tax preparation process
- Communicate effectively with other departments
- Other duties as assigned
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy
- Minimum of 2-5 years of accounting experience
- MRI Real Estate Software experience is a plus
- Intermediate Excel experience is a plus
