Job Summary:
Prepares decision support and service line reporting for Care New England and its Operating Units. Provides financial analysis to support strategic decisions and System initiatives.
Uses business acumen and strong customer focus skills to manage projects.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Performs financial decision support and service line analysis for the System including development of comprehensive financial models to support assessment of strategic initiatives.
Assists in the development and implementation of standard business planning analyses for capital requests.
Prepares projections, analyzes net present value and return on investment of projects. Assists in the development of comprehensive financial models to assess changes in service line activities, growth of new service, opportunities for market expansion, and impact of service line elimination.
Creates baseline models, layers-on incremental initiatives and performs sensitivity and risk analysis on key assumptions. Prepares and presents analysis reports. Assists departments in interpreting reports and develops suggestions to improve operating measures.
Assists in the development of teaching/learning plans for new processes and system tools, as needed; and provides training for the use and interpretation of decision support tools and reports.
Assists with system and process updates and reconciliations to ensure the integrity of data.
Coordinates with the System’s IT department to optimize data feeds to the decision support system.
Communicates with the System’s software vendor(s). Recommends on-going enhancements, continually seeking to maximize the effective use of systems.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
BA/BS degree in Accounting, Business or Finance. MBA or Masters Degree in related field preferred.
Minimum of two years experience in finance. Decision support or healthcare finance experience preferred.
