For the 2024-2025 school year, Clarifi Staffing is seeking a dedicated Bilingual School Psychologist. This position is ideal for a professional who is fluent in both English and Spanish and possesses a deep understanding of cultural sensitivity in educational settings. As a Bilingual School Psychologist, you will play a critical role in assessing and addressing the psychological and educational needs of students from diverse linguistic backgrounds, facilitating their success in academic and social settings.

Responsibilities:

Conduct psychological assessments in both English and Spanish to evaluate students' cognitive, emotional, and social development.
Develop and implement intervention strategies and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to bilingual students' unique needs.
Provide counseling and support services to students and their families, addressing any cultural or language-specific challenges.
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other school staff to integrate psychological services into the educational process effectively.
Lead workshops and training sessions for parents and school staff on topics related to bilingual education and cultural competency.
Participate in multidisciplinary teams to promote a comprehensive approach to student wellness and education.
Maintain accurate records of evaluations, therapy sessions, and communications with parents and school personnel.

Requirements

Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology, Educational Psychology, or a closely related field from an accredited program.
Valid Illinois School Psychologist License or eligibility to obtain license before the start date.
Proficiency in English and [Specify Language] with strong verbal and written communication skills in both languages.
Experience working with children and adolescents in a school setting, preferably with a bilingual population.
Demonstrated knowledge of psychological theories, assessment tools, and evidence-based practices relevant to bilingual educational settings.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
