For the 2024-2025 school year, Clarifi Staffing is seeking a dedicated Bilingual School Psychologist. This position is ideal for a professional who is fluent in both English and Spanish and possesses a deep understanding of cultural sensitivity in educational settings. As a Bilingual School Psychologist, you will play a critical role in assessing and addressing the psychological and educational needs of students from diverse linguistic backgrounds, facilitating their success in academic and social settings.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychological assessments in both English and Spanish to evaluate students' cognitive, emotional, and social development.
  • Develop and implement intervention strategies and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to bilingual students' unique needs.
  • Provide counseling and support services to students and their families, addressing any cultural or language-specific challenges.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other school staff to integrate psychological services into the educational process effectively.
  • Lead workshops and training sessions for parents and school staff on topics related to bilingual education and cultural competency.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary teams to promote a comprehensive approach to student wellness and education.
  • Maintain accurate records of evaluations, therapy sessions, and communications with parents and school personnel.

Requirements

  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology, Educational Psychology, or a closely related field from an accredited program.
  • Valid Illinois School Psychologist License or eligibility to obtain license before the start date.
  • Proficiency in English and [Specify Language] with strong verbal and written communication skills in both languages.
  • Experience working with children and adolescents in a school setting, preferably with a bilingual population.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of psychological theories, assessment tools, and evidence-based practices relevant to bilingual educational settings.
