Provides services along the continuum of the Rehabilitation product line, including Living Centers, Inpatient and Outpatient sites. Ratio between each is determined by census and priority. Responsible for the administration and direct application of speech/language pathology treatment modalities as per NYS law. Evaluates, plans, directs and treats all patient/residents referred for speech/language pathology treatments to restore function and prevent disability following disease or injury. Collaborates with interdisciplinary treatment team.
Educational Requirements/ Qualifications:
Holds a Master’s Degree from an approved college or school of Speech/Language Pathology. License, registration and certificate of clinical competence from ASHA are required. Knowledge of principles and practice of Speech Pathology. Performance of technical skills related to Speech Pathology Ability to read and communicate effectively in English; Additional languages preferred; Strong written and verbal skills. Competence in MBS and swallow assessments.
