We are seeking candidates for a Mechanical/Electrical Technician position located in the Ballston Spa, NY area. This is a full-time position with a salary of $22.00-$32.00 per hour based on experience. Shifts are Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm.

Job Summary: The job will consist of various mechanical and electrical functions to be carried out during a project build, including "Factory Acceptance Testing" using schematics and drawings. Building of electrical junction boxes and panels to print, wire valves, strip cables, and assemble manifold assemblies. This position will also include some light mechanical assembling to print using various hardware including but not limited to nuts, bolts, clips, studs, pipe, fittings, etc. The use of power tools (drills, saws, and grinders) along with basic hand tools (wrenches, ratchets, screwdrivers, etc.) are used to complete tasks during a typical project build.

Responsibilities and Duties:

-Must be able to utilize and interpret electrical wiring diagrams or schematics, mechanical prints, and recognize components.

-Use project electrical schematics to build and test electrical control panels or boxes based on project needs.

-Perform operational testing using digital multi-meter to write procedures and specifications, "Factory Acceptance Testing" of completed projects.

-Be able to us Outlook and Excel. Learn to program a laser engraving machine for custom tags and signage made in house.

-Follow both detailed written and verbal instructions.

-Complete and maintain clear concise written project documentation and test documents.

Qualifications:

-Knowledge of basic electrical theory is required, advanced knowledge is preferred.

-Mechanical and electrical aptitude.

-Excellent interpersonal skills and a positive can-do attitude.

-Must be able to lift 50lbs. Physical requirements include standing, walking, lifting, pulling and pushing, carrying, grasping, reaching, etc.

-High school diploma or equivalent required.

-Exercise safe work habits and maintain a clean, safe work area.

-Basic computer skills (Outlook email and Excel)-can train on other specifics.

-Able to work independently with minimal supervison, along with the abilitiy to work well as part of a team when needed.

-Excellent communication skills, organizational abilities, and work ethic.
