Job Id:   ** MCD - 0065 Job Title:   Project Manager - SURF / Pipe Lay Vessel Location:  Houston, Texas Resource Manager:  Marc Morrow Description: Job Title Senior Project Manager Job Description •Reports to Director of Subsea Products & Operations •Responsible for management of all phases of small to medium projects or part of a larger SURF project •Accountable for financial and technical success of project or segment of project •Manages project personnel to achieve project objectives •May have bottom-line accountability for the financial and technical success of the project or area of project responsibility •May manage Bid Proposals •Promotes a culture of teamwork, collaboration and success. Learns from other leaders •Ensures preparation of Project Execution Plan (PEP), Project Scope of Work, Project Setup, Project Closeout and Change Orders •Reviews and approves project expenditures, budgets, estimates, cost reports, project financial forecasts and schedules •Ensures clear and open communication with project team members and between project team and functional groups as well as the changes in scope of work & schedule are captured in the Change Management System (DTMS) and the implementation of Lessons Learned •Manages the project team, internal and external customer relationships, and staffing of project team with competent persons from the functional groups •Manages to the cost, schedule, safety, quality and contractual requirements of the project through effective planning in accordance with company procedures •Applies basic understanding of company’s business to improve project cost effectiveness, apply change management principles and improve project margin •Demonstrates values in line with company’s values •Understands and promotes ABC Corp’s Vision, Mission and Values •Understands and promotes ABC Corp’s HSES Standards Travel Up to 25% Job Type Regular Date Required 1/5/2015 Job Requirements Education: •Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in a relevant Engineering discipline (Civil, Mechanical, Ocean Engineering, etc) or Construction Management •MBA degree a plus Experience: •Minimum 10 years of experience in Engineering, SURF or Rigid Pipelay •Minimum 5 years experience in a Project Leadership role •Experience in Oil and Gas Industry, preferably with a SURF installation contractor Qualifications: •Advanced knowledge and awareness of Project Management principles, documents and plans Competencies & Behaviors: •Role models ABC Corp's values and acts with integrity •Makes prompt and appropriate decisions even with limited information •Shares information openly with others, even when dealing with difficult/challenging topics •Builds a team environment founded on mutual respect and collaboration, manages conflict well and consistently treats people with respect and dignity •Meets commitments and adheres to the Code of Business Conduct and ethical behavior, procedures and rules/regulations •Assigns clear authority and accountability •Accepts responsibility for personal and team mistakes, doesn't see barriers as excuses and responds quickly to resolve problems; "no excuses" mentality •Demonstrates a global perspective; makes decisions based on company-wide needs •Creates a clear line of sight between ABC Corp’s vision, the business unit’s objectives, and team members’ individual goals •Establishes performance as a key company priority; consistently delivers timely work personally or by leading a team •Anticipates and responds quickly and appropriately to customer needs, inquiries and issues •Establishes & maintains effective relationships with customers, gains their trust & respect
