The Information Technology (IT) Director will lead the IT Engineering strategy. The Director will leverage their strong interpersonal skills to meet with supported areas, learn how they utilize IT systems, and actively seek out areas where engineering improvements could be made. The professional will use their vast IT engineering experience to review systems, make recommendations for improvement and eventually lead the integrations of systems for a dynamic energy company with operations globally. Ensures the consistency and maintainability of existing applications by creating, maintaining, and enforcing standards/procedures for implementing technical solutions. Directs operations in executing production tasks according to a documented schedule that meets or exceeds customer expectations. Produces detailed time line for each application release and implements effective project control by monitoring the progress of the software release and reporting the status. Directs and prioritizes the work load of subordinate personnel. Reviews all designs, code and unit test plans where applicable. Approves all business requirements prior to the technical solution. Represents the IT function at customer review meeting when appropriate. Directs education programs for her/his staff. Perform liaison duties between users, operations, and programming personnel in the areas of IT Engineering design, modifications or trouble shooting. Performs salary administration and conducts interviews and makes recommendations for new hires, consultants and/or replacement personnel. Job Requirements Education Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field. Master’s degree in relevant field preferred. Experience and Qualifications Minimum of eight (8) years of experience within information technology. Intergraph Enterprise Suite. Extensive experience with Aveva Enterprise Solution software. Knowledge of Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Installation (EPCI) environment preferred. Strong interpersonal skill as the position will have substantial interaction with other functional areas such as fabrication and engineering. Proven history of advising and leading integration between systems. Experience in the most current technologies and products used in the industry. |
