Job Title Senior Expeditor Job Description Primarily responsible for timely submission and return of project documentation from internal departments and external suppliers. Requests confirmation from suppliers/contractors that the technical document submittals will arrive by the due dates. Monitors all technical documentation submittals from suppliers/contractors. Expedites and tracks status of all technical documentation for both Supplier Purchase Orders and Contracts. Ensures new forecast dates are captured for technical document submittals. Ensures accurate reporting to measure progress. Interfaces externally with suppliers and contractors to obtain timely submission of requirements or re-submittals. Interfaces with engineering to ensure requirements have been met. Familiar with supplier purchase order/contract documentation requirements including change order/contract modifications affecting the document group. Familiar with complex change orders and understand technical equipment tagging. Interfaces internally with procurement, contracts, engineering and finance. Travel Up to 25% Job Type Regular Date Required Job Requirements Education: Technical degree or some business or information management college preferred. Experience: 3-5 years of experience on EPC projects. Experience with both engineering and vendor/supplier documents. Experience working with spreadsheets an asset. Qualifications: Thorough working knowledge of, and experience with, computers and specialized software programs such as electronic document management systems, relational databases, and Internet based project collaboration systems. Good communications skills required with suppliers, contractors, project teams, and clients. Good analytical and problem solving skills. Good organizational skills, judgment, and flexibility. |
