Title Manager Procurement & Materials Job Family Purch & Materials Mgt City Houston State TX Description Position Summary: This position will manage all aspects of the Procurement transactions and Materials Management functions, including end user service satisfaction, vendor negotiations and relationships, application of proper controls and leadership and development of the procurement professionals. The Manager will lead the analysis, solution development and implementation of procurement transaction effectiveness and efficiencies that improve the group's operating performance. This position will work closely with the Supply Chain Director and the Sourcing and Category Management Manager to apply the best sourcing techniques to the categories that are within the procurement group's responsibilities. Roles/Responsibilities · Allocate Procurement resources and optimize transaction workloads working closely with the category leads and regional operational leads; · Work closely with E&P functional management to ensure their procurement needs are being met; · Identify opportunities to improve the group's performance especially in reducing transaction processing load, optimize technology, for all E&P personnel; · Determine and develop procurement strategies for the sourcing of goods; · Conduct reviews on bids being tendered within the regions for quality, timeliness and outcome; · Evaluate personnel and identify developmental opportunities, assess skill sets and determine capability gaps for all Procurement professionals. Work closely with the SCM leadership team to design and implement a capability development programs for the gaps identified; · Work closely with operations management to ensure Procurement team is achieving service levels and excellent customer service; · Coach procurement professionals on advanced procurement techniques; · Work closely with Accounts Payable to ensure the transaction flow is operating properly and suppliers are transacting efficiently and being paid in a timely manner; *LI-NH1 Requirements Qualifications: · Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Supply Chain or an appropriate discipline required · 10+ years’ experience in purchasing and materials management leadership; · Experience in working within an organization utilizing best-in-class supply chain practices; · Experience in Supply Chain function supporting E&P operations is required; · Working knowledge of electronic procurement tools, contract management, spend analytics, sourcing; · Skills/Competencies · Ability to negotiate commercial terms; · Ability to develop contracting or procurement strategy; · Lead a team through the bidding process and final negotiation; · Ability to mentor and develop procurement professionals; · Knowledge of supply chain processes and best practices including sourcing, market analysis, contracting methodologies, risk analysis, and supplier performance management; · Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with various disciplines and levels within the organization and to be a teamwork focused manager; · Ability to organize and prioritize work activities to support business objectives; · Strong networking, interpersonal and collaboration skills; · Good communication and presentation skills; · Strong written, verbal and communication skills (MS-Excel, Word, Project and PowerPoint) · Strong analytical abilities Our core and leadership competencies specifically identify the skills, knowledge, and abilities required for success for every level of employee on Team ABC Energy.
