General Description The Estimating Administrative Assistant will provide support primarily to the estimating team and project management team as needed.
Key Duties
Routine office activities
Manage request for quotes for estimating purposes
Download/maintain available files for bidding purposes
Setup projects in estimating software
Setup subcontractor solicitation software
Maintain addendums to projects
Update estimating software with new information
Prepare submittals required by owner
Maintain office supplies for estimating/project management teams
Prepare pre-construction, construction, and post construction submittals for projects
Any other duties assigned
Qualification Requirements

Education, Experience and Skills. This position typically is semi entry-level, however it requires a minimum of one (1) or more years of previous experience in an administrative support role.
A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
Must be able to understand work directions and communicate effectively
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Must be well organized and detail oriented
Must be able to work with constant interruption
Must be proficient with MS Office to include; Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Previous experience in construction and estimating is preferred
Must have strong customer service
Previous office administration experience in a construction setting is highly desired
Physical Demands. The following physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an Estimating Administrative Assistant to successfully perform the essential functions of this job:
Periodic physical effort, including standing, is required during a regular work shift of at least eight hours per day. Employee must be able to periodically stand for extended periods of time, and to stoop, bend, and crouch as required to perform Key Duties.
Work Environment. The work environment characteristics described below are representative of those that will be encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
Work is performed predominately indoors, although periodic visits to construction sites or asphalt manufacturing facilities may be required.
Noise level in the office work environment is typically quiet.
