Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Sell company products and services to new and established Customers.

  • Study product information to acquire professional knowledge.

  • Maintain and expand annual profitable sales to assigned Customers.

  • Prospect potential customers and establish new accounts.

  • Fulfill customer needs and requests including, but not limited to, assisting Customers with general questions and requests for information.

  • Maintain customer relations and customer satisfaction.

  • Obtain Customer job specifications in complete detail and close sales based upon contract.

  • Accurately explain technical product or service information to customers. 

  • Distribute promotional literature or samples to customers.

  • Explain proposals for current or prospective customers and negotiate prices or other sales terms.

  • Maintain records of sales or other business transactions.

  • Verify customer credit information.

  • Execute sales or other financial transactions.

  • Confer with customers to cancel accounts or obtain details of the complaint.

  • Refer customer complaints to designated departments for further investigation.

  • Confer and correspond with appropriate managers/supervisors to develop the improvement of processes, and rectify problems, such as non-conformance to product specifications.

  • Contact customers to respond to inquiries or to notify them of claim investigation results or any planned adjustments.

  • Suggest improvements in products, packaging, shipping, service, or billing methods and procedures to prevent future problems.

  • Attend scheduled sales meetings and participate in training and business related trade shows.

  • Maintains good housekeeping.

  • Performs other duties as requested by management.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma/equivalent

  • 1 year of sales experience, preferred
