Glen Raven is recruiting for a Sales Representative focused on the Outdoor Furniture Manufacturers for our Sunbrella brand. This role will Align and position the Sunbrella brand with strategic Outdoor furnishings accounts to ensure sales objectives. The sales representative. This position will be the primary contact and main line of communication with existing and new account assignments.

This role supports our Material Solutions Groups Sales & Marketing efforts by working closely with all Glen Raven business functions, including both international and domestic Sales Teams, Customer Service, Marketing, Design, R&D, Planning and Production, to insure we continue striving to exceed customer expectations.

Responsibilities:

  • Grow sales in an assigned territory with current account list
  • Prospect and establish new accounts
  • Schedule appointments to present new collections, follow up on existing programs, inquire of latest strategies for the account and establish how we can work more collaboratively for mutual success.
  • Build a network, resources and existing clients to create new opportunities and open new customer opportunities
  • Identify untapped or underdeveloped market opportunities
  • Identify market trends and new ways to improve customer satisfaction and loyalty
  • Manage customer specific projects through product development process
  • Strengthen our market position and accelerate revenue growth.
  • Collaboration with the retail accounts team for supporting manufacturing accounts is required.
  • Work with the retail team representatives, if appropriate, to develop our product offerings and further our relationships with the retail accounts.
  • Plan and execute strategic and tactical plans to achieve sales objectives assigned.
  • Brand positioning and identification of marketing opportunities for accounts.
  • Evaluate market conditions and competitive landscape to develop opportunities for business growth
  • Attend and represent Glen Raven Custom Fabrics at Industry trade shows and events.
  • Travel required 30 – 50 percent of the time while being based, preferably, in Burlington, NC at our Sunbrella corporate office.   Must be able to work remotely when not in the office. 
  • Responsible for monthly booking of ones own travel and completion of monthly expenses.
  • Report directly to the MSG Outdoor Manufacturers Sales Manager.

Education and Experience: 

  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or related field or equivalent education and related training. 
  • Preferred: 5+ years of Sales and/or Marketing experience
  • Experience in the textile and/or Furniture industry a plus.
  • Self-starter; able to work independently
  • Demonstrate team player ability and willingness
  • Strong planning, organizational and time management skills
  • Creative problem solving skills
  • Working experience with proven record in B2B sales, business development or account management.
  • Fundamental understanding of brand selling and promoting
  • Possess excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills
  • Dynamic customer interaction skills
  • Proven track record of success in promoting product growth
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
