Description:

We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect with Infrastructure & Cloud experience and deep expertise in the Healthcare Providers industry to design, implement, and optimize scalable, secure, and compliant cloud and on-premises infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, the ability to engage with client leadership, and a proven track record of modernizing IT infrastructure, driving cloud adoption, and ensuring high availability, security, and performance. This role requires expertise in hybrid cloud environments, AI/IoMT infrastructure, healthcare data security, and regulatory compliance to support mission-critical healthcare applications.
Key Responsibilities
Infrastructure & Cloud Architecture
•Design and implement scalable, resilient, and secure cloud and on-premise infrastructure solutions for healthcare providers.
•Develop and execute cloud migration strategies for EHRs, clinical applications, and enterprise systems.
•Architect and manage hybrid and multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) tailored for healthcare workloads.
•Ensure high availability, disaster recovery (DR), and business continuity planning (BCP) for critical healthcare systems.
•Enable edge computing, IoMT infrastructure, and real-time data processing for connected healthcare environments.
Client Engagement & Leadership
•Serve as a trusted advisor to client leadership (CIOs, CTOs, CISOs, and IT Directors) on cloud and infrastructure strategy.
•Lead technical workshops, strategy sessions, and stakeholder discussions to align IT infrastructure with business objectives.
•Provide thought leadership on cloud adoption, AI infrastructure, and next-gen healthcare IT architecture.
•Guide clients on change management, cost optimization, and value realization from cloud investments.
Security, Compliance & Governance
•Ensure HIPAA, HITECH, HITRUST, GDPR, and NIST compliance for cloud and on-prem infrastructure.
•Implement zero-trust security models, identity & access management (IAM), encryption, and data protection strategies.
•Define and enforce governance frameworks for cloud resource provisioning, monitoring, and cost management.
•Oversee network security, vulnerability management, and threat detection in healthcare IT environments.
Interoperability & Integration
•Architect secure, high-performance integrations between cloud platforms, EHR/EMR systems (Cerner, Meditech, etc.), and third-party applications.
•Enable FHIR, HL7, and API-based interoperability for seamless healthcare data exchange.
•Optimize network infrastructure (SD-WAN, VPNs, Direct Connect, ExpressRoute) for healthcare data transmission.
AI & High-Performance Computing (HPC) Infrastructure
•Design AI-ready infrastructure to support medical imaging AI, NLP-driven clinical documentation, and predictive analytics.
•Implement GPU-accelerated computing for deep learning applications in radiology, pathology, and genomics.
•Optimize cloud and edge infrastructure for real-time AI inferencing and IoMT device data processing.
Performance Optimization & Reliability Engineering
•Drive performance optimization strategies for cloud-based healthcare applications and workloads.
•Implement observability, monitoring, and incident response frameworks using AIOps and automation.
•Lead capacity planning, cost optimization, and workload automation to improve operational efficiency.
Required Qualifications
10+ years of Total experience with minimum of 5+ recent years in Healthcare Provider industry.
Technical Skills
•Enterprise Infrastructure Architecture: Expertise in designing highly available, scalable, and compliant IT infrastructure.
•Cloud Platforms: Extensive experience with AWS, Azure, and GCP in healthcare environments.
•Networking & Security: Deep knowledge of firewalls, VPNs, SD-WAN, zero-trust security, IAM, and endpoint security.
•Healthcare IT Standards & Compliance: Strong understanding of HIPAA, HITECH, HITRUST, GDPR, NIST, and healthcare cybersecurity frameworks.
•EHR/EMR Integration: Experience with Epic, Cerner, Meditech, and third-party healthcare IT systems.
•Automation & Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Expertise in Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, ARM templates, Kubernetes, and Docker.
•Observability & DevOps: Experience with monitoring, logging, and AIOps tools (Datadog, Prometheus, Splunk, New Relic).
•AI & IoMT Infrastructure: Understanding of GPU-accelerated AI workloads, edge computing, and real-time IoMT data processing.
•Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity: Proficiency in multi-region, active-active architectures and backup/recovery strategies.
Leadership & Soft Skills
•Client Leadership Engagement: Ability to communicate infrastructure and cloud strategies to C-level executives and IT leaders.
•Strategic Thinking: Experience in defining cloud adoption roadmaps, IT modernization strategies, and cost-optimization frameworks.
•Cross-functional Collaboration: Ability to work with clinical, security, AI, and IT operations teams.
•Decision Making & Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to identify risks, trade-offs, and optimal solutions.
•Mentorship & Team Leadership: Guide and mentor IT architects, cloud engineers, and DevOps teams.
•Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and people skills.
Preferred Qualifications
•Certifications: AWS/Azure/GCP Cloud Architect, TOGAF, CISSP, CCSP, HITRUST, or related cloud security certifications.
•Knowledge in AI & Generative AI: Infrastructure support for clinical AI, medical imaging AI, and generative AI workloads.
•Understanding of Healthcare Business Models: Familiarity with hospitals, clinics, telemedicine, and value-based care infrastructure needs.
Salary range: $113,000 - $156,000 a year
