About the Company: 

Our client is an investment adviser with over $20 billion in AUM focused on investing in global credit and special situations. The Engineer will be responsible for building the in-house risk management and reporting systems along with integrating and customizing third-party libraries that are critical to the operation of the firm.

Responsibilities: 

  • Develop, support, document, and test the firm’s custom risk management and reporting systems
  • Write well organized and thought-out documentation using Confluence
  • Identify performance bottlenecks and system bugs, and devise solutions to these problems
  • Work directly with the business teams to translate requirements into functional applications

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science required
  • 3-10 years of software engineering experience
  • Strong experience with Python Development or SQL Server Development (preferably both)
  • Understanding fundamental design principles and has skill writing clean, readable, smartly commented code
  • C#, Java, or C++ experience
  • Financial industry/markets experience a plus
  • Experience with continuous integration and GIT

Salary Range: 

$100,000-$150,000
