INTERNSHIP TYPE: Internship - Master's Level
HOURS/SCHEDULE: 10-20 hours/week, Monday-Friday 9AM-12PM & Saturday/Sunday 9AM-12AM, flexible hours
PROGRAM/LOCATION: EMPS, Manchester CT
ABOUT THE PROGRAM: EMERGENCY MOBILE PSYCHIATRIC SERVICE
24/7day a week crisis telephone triage & support, mobile crisis assessment and intervention in the school, home, court and other community settings. EMPS supports children & families in times of emotional, behavioral, and situational stress. EMPS focuses on prevention and early intervention, stabilization and diversion from hospitalization.

PROGRAM OUTLINE:
By participating as a Master’s Level Intern with CHR, you can expect to gain firsthand experience and training related to psychiatric & substance abuse diagnostic evaluation and treatment as well as other services, including assessment, consultation, individual, couples, group, family treatment and medication evaluation and monitoring.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Must be enrolled in a master’s degree program in mental health field.
Experience: Demonstrated experience in mental health treatment preferred but not required.
Licensure/Certification/Registration: Valid driver’s license
