The Department of Pharmacy in the UW School of Pharmacy invites applications for a full-time 100% FTE, 12-month service period, tenure-eligible faculty position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. This position will specialize in one of the following priority areas: cell and gene therapy, precision medicine, rare and ultra rare diseases, pediatrics, cardiology, obstetrics, or pain management.
Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be expected to:
Support the Department and School's commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion as well as contribute to the larger service mission of the School of Pharmacy and the UW.
Actively contribute to instruction in the PharmD curriculum which focuses on preparing pharmacist providers who are practice-ready in Washington State’s innovative and permissive pharmacy practice environment.
Support the training mission facilitated by a new Health Sciences Education Building, a state-of-the-art interprofessional space for training future health professionals.
Develop and/or maintain an externally funded, independent research/scholarship program at a top-tier R1 research university, resulting in peer-reviewed publications and other scientific communications

The individual in this position will join a diverse department (50 faculty with over 400 adjunct, affiliate, and clinical faculty) with nationally and internationally recognized clinical, policy and research experts. The base salary range for this position at the rank of Assistant Professor will be $9,450 - $14,000 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination.
The base salary range for this position at the rank of Associate Professor will be $11,500 - $16,780 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination.
Other compensation associated with this position may include a moving allowance.
