Our client is an alternative investment firm with over $8 billion in AUM and is hiring a Senior Accountant to join their management company team. This individual will be involved in a wide range of areas including financial reporting, analysis, budgeting, cash flows, disbursements, expense allocations, leases, assets, travel, and vendor management.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for quarterly close, financial and managerial reporting, forecasting and analysis for several US and UK companies
Manage the expense allocation process for the firm’s fund expenses
Assist with annual audits (US and UK GAAP)
Prepare various regulatory filings
Provide information to support periodic tax filings
Support and mentor the accountant responsible for the disbursements function. This includes assisting in the review and management of accounts payable and treasury management
Responsible for office leases, build-outs and fixed asset inventory
Perform special projects within the accounting team, including policy and procedure documentation, data analysis, and working with the firm’s development team to enhance accounting systems
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
CPA required
3-5 years of experience
Strong analytical skills to assess and solve problems efficiently
