Essential Functions
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
• Machining parts sent to the CNC Area within the need time to meet customer promise dates and coordinate with
production on those parts needing further operations
• Read and interpret blueprints or work from verbal or written instructions, sketches or from the actual part to be copied
or fitted. This includes the interpretation of this information into Bobcad and CNC programing
• Plan the setup and operation of various machine shop machines and tools, considering types of material, tolerances and
machine tool feeds and speeds. Including the programing of CNC equipment
• Use precision measuring and gauging tools, performing required inspections before, during and after machining
• Use hand tools or machines of the trade for modifications as required
• Maintain organized libraries of CNC programs
• Perform CNC and conventional machining applying most efficient speed and feeds, as well as most appropriate cutting tool
selection
• Accurate set up and operation of all tool room equipment, including CNC machining centers
• Troubleshoot existing programs to gain improvements in quality and efficiency
• Working closely with Maintenance, and Engineering to complete needed assignments to manufacture replacement parts,
modify machines, manufacture needed tooling, and in some cases build parts for new equipment
• Coordinate and prioritize assigned work with the help of the Sales / Tooling Engineer
• All other duties as assigned
