The Electrical Engineer is a key member of the Functional Design team within the Product Development organization and is responsible for analog and digital circuitry design of Nuclear Medicine products, providing design solutions in a dynamic environment with a focus on analysis, DFx, documentation, prototyping, verification, and new product introduction.
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
System Design: Evaluate product functional objectives and critical requirements and create system concepts, including electrical, software, and interface product requirements. Identify Input and Output requirements to develop key functional design specification and features
Circuit Design: Implement circuits in hardware, working with FW, SW and ME groups to ensure a cohesive product design that is EMC compliant and conforms to required safety regulations
Documentation: Following Nuclear Medicine’s Product Life Cycle process, create design documentation (schematics, PCB layout, parts lists, assembly drawings, etc.) including theory of operation in how the design works, and how to debug; work with test engineering to develop test requirements and production test procedures
Design Reviews: Lead and participate in schematic, PCB, firmware, and system reviews: DFx and FMEA
Technician Training: Conduct product training for production, support operations, sales, and test technicians
Regulatory: Interface with testing laboratories and government agencies to facilitate regulatory testing to assure that products meet the necessary domestic and international regulatory requirements
Assist in Risk Assessment and DFx (DFM, FMEA, Tolerance analysis, etc.) activities
