  • Highly competent knowledge of both the practice management and electronic health record component of the Ambulatory EHR.
  • Participates and maintains a thorough understanding of the clinic workflow to assist the provider when needed.
  • Has and maintains proficiency with word processing and recording skills.
  • Fulfills patient EHR data input during visits including collecting patient history, documenting notes before, during and after the visits, and relaying instructions from the provider to the patient.
  • Assists provider in managing tasks, orders, medication refills, and referrals in the EHR, within scope.
  • Relays follow up with care from the appointment that the provider feels is necessary and within scope, as directed.
  • Assist provider with assigned tasks during offsite visits.
  • Create standardized EHR notes for the provider and adjusts or edits those as directed.
  • Maintains a general knowledge of billing and procedural codes to maximize visit associated revenue.
