Job Description
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Follows established procedures and uses electrical engineering theories and techniques to design and troubleshoot power equipment:
- Providing engineering support on all ITW-manufactured products (GPU’s & PCA’s)
- Uses in-depth analysis from test data results and vendor information to determine design specifications, create electrical packages designed for manufacturing, and select components in electrical configurations and applications per applicable standards (i.e. ETL, ISO, CE, NEC, etc).
- Works with other engineers, purchasing and production to support production design, and create standard procedures for assembly and test.
- Reviews and evaluates changes submitted by production, sales, or other sources and completes required documentation (Engineering Changes, First Articles, Non-Conformances, Temporary Deviations) as required.
- Creates training documents for installation, works very independently, and provides technical advice to production team members, customer service, purchasing, and management.
- Follows all applicable safety practices.
- Other responsibilities as requested by Management.
Qualifications
Education
Electrical Engineering degree (minimum BSEE)
Experience
- Minimum three years of engineering experience (power electronics)
- Minimum of two years in a manufacturing setting, Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with Linux Embedded software, HVAC as well as 400Hz and 28VDC power design is preferred.
