The Psychologist provides individual and group therapy and cognitive evaluations as a professional member of interdisciplinary clinical staff. Treats assigned clients according to a variety of therapy methods.
Qualifications:
New York State License in Psychology ,Ph.D. or Psy.D. in clinical psychology from an accredited (APA or CPA) institution
Preferably 1 year experience supporting children and adults with autism and/or developmental disabilities
Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) a plus
Primary duties and responsibilities include but not limited to:
Provide weekly individual cognitive-behavioral therapy to children, adolescents, and adults diagnosed with autism spectrum and related disorders
Facilitate weekly cognitive-behavioral therapy groups for children, adolescents, and adults diagnosed with autism spectrum and related disorders
Provide clinical supervision in assessment and psychotherapy to masters level psychology trainees
Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations including diagnostic, cognitive, and developmental instruments
Develop diagnostic formulation, treatment and educational recommendations in collaboration with multi-disciplinary treatment team
Serve as active member of the clinical team
Provide consultation to parents, schools, and other professionals
Assist in program development and evaluation
Provide community workshops
Coordinate cognitive behavior therapy program: Accept and track all internal and external referrals for individual psychotherapy. Assign cases to appropriate clinicians in collaboration with multi-disciplinary team
