JOB SUMMARY

The Children and Family Treatment Support Services (CFTSS) Program Director/Social Worker provides clinical and administrative supervision of the CFTSS program – Other Licensed Professionals (OLP), Community Psychiatric Supports and Treatment (CPST), and Psychosocial Rehabilitation Services (PSR). Responsibilities include staff supervision, managing visits and sessions and case assignments.   Works under the general supervision of the Vice President of Integrates Services. The Program Director ensures that all services are well coordinated and meet the children, youth, and families’ complex needs and are delivered in a trauma-responsive, culturally and linguistically competent manner. The CFTSS Program Director ensure that service delivery adheres to the regulations of the NYS Office of Mental Health.

·         Responsible for the oversight of the coordination of clinical services for clients impacted by domestic violence and transitioning from temporary to permanent housing

·         Oversee the provision of individual, group and family therapy including behavior modification, cognitive behavioral, insight oriented and supportive therapy to an ethnically and culturally diverse population, ranging from age zero through late adulthood

·         Conduct Intake Assessments and maintain a small caseload of clients for individual, group and family therapy

·         Develop intake, assessment and service delivery protocols and procedures that ensure effective and swift engagement of clients

·         Oversee the referral and connection of children of clients to appropriate mental health and support services

·         Assist with clinical and administrative crisis management, as needed

·         Provide ongoing weekly individual and group supervision to program staff

·         Identify and support training needs of staff

·         Maintain reports and administrative and clinical records in accordance with OMH and funding partner requirements ensuring compliance with requirements and program policies

·         Collect, track and interpret program data to facilitate continuing performance improvement and grant requirements

·         Monitor and maintain program compliance with OMH regulations including treatment plans, documentation, assessments and all aspects of the program

·         Conduct outreach within the agency and throughout the community

·         Facilitate intra/inter agency referrals as necessary and advocate for clients with other community-based organizations and governmental agencies, as indicated

·         Participate in staff and department-wide meetings, as required

·         Perform other duties, as needed

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

·         Must have knowledge of and experience with multiple modalities of psychotherapeutic interventions and be a proficient diagnostician with excellent management skills to resolve complex clinical and administrative problems.

·         Experience working from a strengths-based perspective, using positive youth development strategies for at-risk youth and/or Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

·         Uses tact and sensitivity in communicating effectively with staff and children/families alike.

·         Experience with Electronic Medical Records

·         Good knowledge of the policies and organization of the regulatory agency and applicable legislation, regulations and rules.

·         Ability to manage multiple projects, delegate tasks, and check on the completion

·         Ability to plan and organize treatment services, and to provide supervision and leadership to a culturally diverse group of staff.

·         Ability to form and maintain effective relationships with community and local and state government representatives.

·         Good knowledge of the principles and practices of supervision.

·         Ability to adhere to our organization’s core values

·         Experience with Managed Care and Behavioral Health issues

·         Knowledge of OMH regulations

·         Solid assessment, clinical and documentation skills

·         Great interpersonal skills

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Minimum: Master’s Degree in Social Work with an LCSW and a minimum three years post master’s degree or post-doctoral degree with a professional license in NYS. Must have strong clinical experience, including 2-3 years of clinical supervision and administration in child/adolescent/adults and family-centered and community-based settings.
