Job Description
Position Summary:
Apply engineering knowledge and skills for moderately complex engineering projects that focus on design, development, reliability, and the most efficient utilization of equipment, materials, facilities, processes, and people in order to produce products.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage, prioritize and complete projects or programs of moderate size, scope, and duration
Coordinate project work with other engineers, technicians, designers and/or or drafters
Develop project plan, schedules and work plans, estimate resources and costs, and track and report documents
Define the project scope, goals, and deliverables
Document and track project plan
Maintain continuous alignment of project scope with defined strategic business objectives
Monitor progress of projects, identify problems impeding progress, and participate in their resolution
Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans
Troubleshoot, research, analyze, identify, evaluate, design, propose, implement, and document engineering solutions that affect products, processes, components, assemblies, and/or equipment
Conduct project-related research
Collaborate with production personnel and other departments to gather information and draft reports, and improve equipment, processes, and products
Create test parameters and participate in the testing and implementation of engineering solutions
Identify broad conceptual ideas and develop them into useful solutions
Establish continuous improvement plans where efficiency, quality, safety, or service can be improved
Mentor other team members
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field preferred but not required
5 years of related experience
Knowledge of and experience using project management methodologies and software
Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various products
Technical expertise in manufacturing equipment automation such as filling, packaging, process equipment,
Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
Ability to successfully prioritize, and organize projects, deadlines, and tasks with little supervision in both team and independent environments
Strong verbal and written skills necessary in order to communicate intricate job-related processes
Up to 40% domestic and international travel
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $103,100.00–$155,000.00.This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
