Electro-Mechanical Engineer

Our client, a nationwide manufacturer of commercial machinery, has an immediate need for an experienced Electro-Mechanical Engineer, to join our winning team in Dallas.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop new technical ideas from proof-of-concept, to prototype, to production-level beta unit, to finished product.
  • Design training material or manuals as it relates to controls.
  • Responsible for ongoing testing and code development of new products. Travel to H&C factories to support the manufacturing challenges during initial launch of a new product.
  • Support troubleshooting field issues that occur during a product launch. Travel to customer sites and trade shows.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent field experience
  • 5-10 years of experience programming PLC systems from scratch
  • Knowledge of the workings of system controls panels
  • Experience in a continuous process environment
  • Experience creating method statements and risk assessments.
  • Food Industry experience a plus
  • Able to travel domestically/internationally 20%.
  • Experience using AutoCAD and familiar with reading a drawing.
  • Proficient with Word, Excel, and Power Point. Experience with SAP a plus.
  • Experience with SCADA or MES system is a plus.
