Job Description

This is a hybrid role, 3x per week in the Perrysburg office. 

This position is accountable for supporting the procurement of raw materials (including sourcing, contract management, cost savings, etc) to ensure best practice and best total cost of ownership for North America. 

• This position will support the procurement of raw materials and cullet totaling ~$300M for the 18 plants in North America
• Develop and execute strategic sourcing activities as required
• Prepare monthly reports of KPI’s including EBIT savings, working capital, inflation, and spend information
• Review contract issues identified by suppliers, understand the business impact and negotiate most favorable conditions for O-I
• Manage supply base for assigned commodities

Responsibilities: 

• Support the development and execution of strategic sourcing activities for raw materials and cullet, leveraging industry best practices, commodity experience, sourcing methodology and global partnerships whenever possible, under the supervision of Procurement Manager(s)
• Develop and execute strategic sourcing activities as required
• Support Procurement Manager(s) with RFI / RFP / RFQ activities for new and existing requirements and provide data analysis (quotations, spend, cost, payment terms/methods, etc)
• Negotiate vendor contracts in compliance with legal standards and business requirements
• Review vendor performance to ensure contract adherence and drive continuous improvements
• Analyze, develop, and implement commodity initiatives / projects to drive savings
• Participate in and / or lead special projects as required

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business, Engineering or related-area 
• Minimum 5-7 years of relevant work experience
• Proficient analytical and computer skills (Excel and PowerPoint)
• Working experience with SAP or other ERP system strongly preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills. 
• Strong analytical skills

Salary Range:  The expected salary range for this position is between $75,000 - $90,000 annually. Actual pay will be adjusted based upon candidate experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
