The University of Washington (UW) is recruiting for two (2) full-time Assistant, Associate or Full Professors (without tenure due to funding) in the Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine, Department of Medicine. These are full-time (100% FTE) positions. Salary and academic appointment at the University of Washington will be commensurate with experience, qualifications, and academic rank. Patient care will occur at Harborview Medical Center. The successful candidate will conduct funded research focused on translational critical care research and interventional clinical trials in critically ill ICU patients. These positions will have teaching activities that include oversight and mentoring of clinical trainees and research trainees.
Assistant Professors without tenure (WOT) are eligible for multi-year appointments and Associate and Full Professors without tenure (WOT) hold indefinite appointments that all align with a 12-month service period (July 1–June 30). Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July–June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off.
Anticipated start date would be April 2024.

Salary:
The base salary range for this position at the assistant professor rank will be: $16,667–$20,000 per month ($200,004–$240,000 annually) commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination.
The base salary range for this position at the associate professor rank will be: $21,675–$22,775 per month ($260, 100–$285,300 annually) commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination.
The base salary range for this position at the professor rank will be: $23,841–$27,500 per month ($286,092–$330,000 annually) commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination.
These ranges are inclusive of base salary provided through the UW Physicians (UWP) practice plan, in addition to base salary provided by the University. Please note that only compensation provided by the University is included in University benefit determinations and calculations. Compensation provided by UW Physicians (UWP) practice plan may provide eligibility for separate benefits offered by that organization. Other compensation associated with this position may include a temporary pay supplement (TPS) paid at a per shift or per week rate, depending on clinical assignments.
