The University of Washington, Department of Pediatrics, Division of General Pediatrics invites applications for a full time faculty position as a Clinical Associate Professor or Clinical Professor. Salary and academic appointment at University of Washington will be commensurate with experience, qualifications, and academic rank. As a Director of the ACGME Fellowship in Child Abuse Pediatrics in the Safe Child and Adolescent Network, the successful applicant will engage in clinical work and post-graduate medical education. Anticipated start date is Winter/Spring 2024.
Clinical Associate Professors and Clinical Professors hold annual appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30) and may be reappointed to subsequent annual terms. Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off.
All University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research and service.
Protected administrative time will also be provided for fellowship direction. The director is expected to recruit and oversees selection of new fellows, develop and maintain a curriculum of didact and experiential learning that meets ACGME requirements, and provide support and mentorship to fellows as they develop clinically, academically and interpersonally.
The base salary range for this position will be: Associate Professors $13,441 - $20,161 per month ($161,292 - $241,932 annually), Professors $16,729 - $25,093 per month ($200,748 - $301,116 annually) commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination. This range is inclusive of base salary provided through the Children’s University Medical Group (CUMG) practice plan, in addition to base salary provided by the University. Please note that only compensation provided by the University is included in University benefit determinations and calculations. Compensation provided by Children’s University Medical Group (CUMG) practice plan may provide eligibility for separate benefits offered by that organization.
Other compensation associated with this position may include incentive through Children’s University Medical Group practice plan. Additional administrative responsibilities may be offered to a specific candidate with appropriate experience and qualifications which may result in an administrative supplement (ADS).
