Work Description:
- Supervises and coordinates activities for the departments.
- Works on Maintaining a 95% percent or better on time shipping rate.
- 100% on time delivery for production and assembly.
- 99% or better accuracy for Inventory Control.
- Supervises employees in both the shipping /receiving department.
- Assigns personal in the shipping and receiving department to ensure that the employees are being utilized properly.
- Makes sure that all the employees have a written job description and desk instructions and is consistently working on making sure everyone has a backup for the positions in both Shipping and receiving.
- Collaborates and communicates with customer service, and others involved in the shipment and receipt of products.
- Efficient in the use of the company ERP/MRP system.
- Help and assist where the process has a bottle neck to ensure that the process is running efficiently.
- Works with the shipping personnel to ensure the process for both Domestic and International shipments are correct, and the process is maintained in a timely manner.
- Will work with the inventory control person to make sure a correct and well documented process is in place so that our inventory is properly maintained.
- Maintains employees’ records for timecards and for disciplinary actions.
- Ability to develop and mentor others.
- Ability to foster teamwork.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required.
- 3 or more years’ experience in the shipping/receiving along with the inventory control department.
Physical Demands:
- Frequently lifting up to 70 lbs.
- Regularly required to stand, climb, reach, grasp, stoop, push, pull, and kneel
- Must adhere to all relevant PPE guidelines
