Our client is the fastest growing pre-IPO asset management firm with multi-billions in AUM. The Senior Accountant will help build-out the accounting operations, develop and improve monthly/quarterly reporting, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
Lead the day-to-day functions for the accounts receivable and payable, build out the reporting for new revenue streams and prepare related accounting memorandums, and managing vendor spend
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Build out the internal control environment and document standard operating procedures
Assist in the budgeting process and financial planning
Review general ledger reports and enhance reporting capabilities
Lead and coordinate the audit process, liaise with external auditors, and manage the preparation of all related audit schedules and footnotes
Oversee tax preparations and filings ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
2-5 years of experience in public or private accounting
CPA required
Experience in financial services and/or asset management
