Job Id:   ** EPC-001 Job Title:   Sr. Field Process Engineer Location:  Houston, Texas Resource Manager:  Gilbert Forcade Description: Fortune 500 Midstream Company Engineer, Senior Field Process Description One of North America's largest midstream energy networks, providing a variety of services, including transportation, gathering, storage, processing, fractionation and terminaling, to producers and consumers of natural gas, natural gas liquids, crude oil, refined products, liquefied petroleum gases and petrochemicals. The Senior Field Process Engineer provides process engineering and technical support for the operation of Enterprise's plants and pipelines in the Houston region. Then Engineer, under the direction of the Manager and more senior engineers, ensures that facility upgrades and changes are designed and constructed in accordance with the Company's Engineering guidelines and Specifications, Industry Codes & Standards, and Regulatory Agency requirements while also meeting functionality and performance requirements. In addition, the Engineer will provide process designs which will contribute to cost saving enhancements that will significantly improve the efficiency and capacity of the plants and/or reduce the operational costs. The Process Engineer will be assigned to specific production units and pipelines to provide support to Operations, Maintenance, Commercial, and Distribution. The Engineer will monitor the key performance indicators of the plant ensuring that it is operating efficiently and will provide technical expertise and scope developments for expansion and improvement project at Southeast Texas location. The Engineer will also be the technical liaison between the plant and all outside services. The position is also responsible for the following: • Provide technical support to the Company's Operations, Maintenance, and Commercial departments. • Perform plant simulations to establish baselines, simulate modifications and estimate performance enhancements to existing plant facilities. • Perform and check design calculations and equipment sizing. • Perform Plant Optimization Studies (Surveillance) and monitor key performance indicators to determine if existing assets are performing to expectations. When opportunities for improvement at identified the Process Engineer will take the lead in their design and implementation to increase efficiency and production while reducing costs. • Prepare project design scopes in support of capital projects, commercial development, and plant optimization. • Prepare bid packages for equipment and outside services including engineering, procurement, and construction activities. • Participate in reviews of designs prepared by outside engineering contractors, vendors, fabricators, and manufacturers. • Monitor field construction activities to ensure compliance with contract drawings and specifications. • Prepare project completion reports including construction material inventories and as-built drawings. Qualifications The successful candidate will meet the following qualifications: • BS in Chemical Engineering is required. • A minimum of ten years experience in a chemical plant environment or related industry engineering with a continuous production facility is required. Time spent with consulting engineering companies will not count towards the 10 year minimum. • Experience with distillation, light hydrocarbons, MTBE / Iso-Octane / IOleflex, API Standards, OSHA 1910.119 (PSM), Pipelines. Underground Storage is a plus. • Proficiency in basic PC skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook) is required. • Process modeling software such as Hysys or equivalent. • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to either work alone or as part of a team are essential. • Must be proficient in balancing multi priorities and activities and meet deliverable. • Must be willing and able to travel 10% with minimal overnights. • Ability to handle multiple fast-paced projects with constantly changing priorities and scope. • Ability to quickly absorb the key deliverables and not get mired in details. • Must be detailed oriented.
