Description

WPM is a leading provider of multiple Property Management services. The Assistant Controller will be responsible for preparing financial statements and reconciling the general ledger for a portfolio of real estate entities. Partial remote possible after training.

Essential Functions:

Reconcile Subsidiary Ledgers to the General Ledger.
Review the work prepared by the Staff Accountant(s).
Perform Bank reconciliations.
Maintain the General Ledger for a portfolio of rental properties.
Prepare the monthly analytical review of the financial statements.
Prepare monthly Financial Statements for a portfolio of rental properties.
Prepare Cash Flow analyses.
Assist the Controller with special projects.
Prepare year end requests for auditors.
Other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Must possess strong mathematical, financial, and analytical abilities.
Strong computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office suite and accounting software.
Ability to work autonomous by prioritizing tasks.
Effectively communicate with all employees at all levels of the organization and with owners.
Solid attention to detail

What we are looking for from you:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, with 3-5 years’ experience or the equivalent
Experience with multi-family housing software a plus
2+ years accounting experience in multi-family real estate industry
Public Accounting experience, 1-2 years preferred.
