Description

WPM is a leading provider of multiple Property Management services. The Assistant Controller will be responsible for preparing financial statements and reconciling the general ledger for a portfolio of real estate entities.  Partial remote possible after training. 
Essential Functions:
  • Reconcile Subsidiary Ledgers to the General Ledger.
  • Review the work prepared by the Staff Accountant(s).
  • Perform Bank reconciliations.
  • Maintain the General Ledger for a portfolio of rental properties.
  • Prepare the monthly analytical review of the financial statements.
  • Prepare monthly Financial Statements for a portfolio of rental properties.
  • Prepare Cash Flow analyses.
  • Assist the Controller with special projects.
  • Prepare year end requests for auditors.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Must possess strong mathematical, financial, and analytical abilities.
  • Strong computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office suite and accounting software.
  • Ability to work autonomous by prioritizing tasks.
  • Effectively communicate with all employees at all levels of the organization and with owners.
  • Solid attention to detail

 What we are looking for from you: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, with 3-5 years’ experience or the equivalent
  • Experience with multi-family housing software a plus
  • 2+ years accounting experience in multi-family real estate industry
  • Public Accounting experience, 1-2 years preferred.
