PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Generally works in a traditional climate-controlled office environment and requires the ability to sit for extended periods.
Some walking, standing, and bending required, and the ability to lift and maneuver items weighing up to 15 pounds.
Work environment can be stressful at times in dealing with a wide variety of challenges and deadlines.
In addition to regular office hours, position sometimes requires overtime and/or evening hours.
Preferred Qualifications
Associate degree from a regionally accredited college in accounting, business, or a related field preferred.
Two years’ experience in accounting preferred.

Position Description
SUMMARY
Open until filled- The primary function of this job is to provide cashier duties at any of the three campus locations. Perform a variety of accounting duties, including accounts receivable functions, involving the exercise of independent judgment in accordance with established procedures. Perform a variety of Business Office activities involving receipt of monies, student accounts and registration. Assist in directing students and employees to the proper person in the Business Office and other departments within the College. Assist with the bookstore at the Lincoln campus.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform Cashier duties at the Dallas, Lincoln, and Kimbrell campuses.
Perform service as the window cashier, assisting students, employees, and visitors.
Assist with processing daily cash receipts from all sources including Continuing Education, Bookstore deposits, and mail-in checks.
Prepare and scan checks and other documents into ImageNow system.
Research student and employee questions and concerns to provide additional information as appropriate.
Assist with handling phone calls in the Business Office daily by logging into and answering phone calls in the phone queue.
Provide written and oral correspondence to public.
Maintain a high standard of professionalism in representing the College, including confidentiality in all aspects of the position’s responsibilities and adherence to policies, procedures, and other established guidelines. Adhere to professional accountability and accept responsibility for managing situations and problems.
Work cooperatively with team members and colleagues, contributing positively and constructively to the achievement of team and College objectives, and provide a high level of service to customers by establishing and maintaining effective working relationships and partnerships.
Serve on institutional committees as required or assigned; attend staff development as required.
Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
