What is the pay?

The pay level varies depending on experience, educational background and other factors.

Hours will vary depending on candidates time availability and student demands for services.

Where does tutoring occur?

All tutoring takes place in The Otis Hawkins Center for Academic & Personal Excellence located inside Farrior Hall on campus. Hours of operation are below.

Can I tutor if I have another job on campus?

Yes. The University Athletic Association is a separate entity from UF. Candidates must complete UAA HR paperwork and attend a new tutor orientation even if they are a UF employee.

How will I be notified if I am considered for a tutoring position?

Candidates will be contacted via e-mail if their qualifications match with our current tutor needs.

Note: If candidates do not hear from us, it means their skills are not needed for the current semester. There is no need to resubmit an application since all applications will be placed in a file for future consideration.

What happens if I am selected to be a tutor?

If selected, candidates will be contacted by the Strategy Program Learning Specialists. Candidates will then attend a UAA tutorial orientation and also required to attend a mandatory compliance and new hire orientation. During the orientation, candidates will learn about all tutorial procedures.
