Preferred Qualifications:

Education:           High School Diploma or Equivalent          

Experience:  2-5 years’ experience in heavy equipment operations needed

Languages: English and/or Bilingual (Spanish).

Skills: 

•    Ability to work, with minimal supervision, maintaining productivity and efficiency when faced with stressful situations, including maintaining effective interactions with others.
•    Ability to communicate effectively with customers and all levels of employees and management.
•    Must have good oral/written communication skills.

Job Summary

• Safely operate a forklift, container handler or empty handler to move container and flat racks.
• Perform equipment inspections daily. Report any discrepancies to management.
• Assist with transloads.
• Receive trucks in a timely and accurate manner.
• Measure cargo, scan locations and take pictures of cargo.
• Be aware of hazards and safety precautions. Report all safety hazards.
• Keep traffic to a minimum to help daily operations.
• Maintain organized work area. Ensure the inside of machines is kept clean.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
