Job Title:Certified School Psychologist

You must possess the technical skills to evaluate students and the interpersonal skills to be a trusted partner for students, parents, and teachers.


The purpose of this job is to facilitate academic achievement, behavioral/social skills, and emotional well-being of all students by providing a comprehensive array of psychological services (including consultation, evaluation, conferences, in service training behavior management, counseling, parent education, and interventions) to the school in an effective and timely manner and in accordance with professional and ethical standards of education and school psychology.


Speech Pathologist will be responsible for the following:

·Provide strategic individual and group counseling, classroom instruction and consultation with school personnel and parents to promote positive student performance in the areas of social, emotional, and academic development.

·Evaluate individual students using a variety of methods including, but not limited to, standardized, norm-referenced and curriculum-based assessment, observation, interviews, and review of pertinent data to determine students' educational needs, and to design interventions to address those needs.

·Review data and assess educational outcomes and the instructional implications for individual students and groups.

·Ensure all newly received special education documents (Evaluations, IEPs) are compliant.

·Direct case managers to ensure compliance when necessary.

·Serve as an advocate for all children and youth.

·Consult and collaborate with educators, parents, children, and other professionals or agencies to improve student outcomes.

·Participate in evaluation team meetings and plays a consultative role on the school’s intervention assistance team.

·Provide functional academic and behavioral assessments that are relevant to the presenting problem and student characteristics, which are intervention and results-oriented and which are administered within mandated time frames.

·Provide support, instructions, technical assistance and ongoing monitoring of progress toward measurable, identified goals for students at individual, group or system level.


Requirements

·Must be able to work at FT time hours, 37.5 per week

·Master's degree in Education Psychology related degree is required

·Must have or be eligible to attain a PEL with school support endorsement.
