Our client, a nationwide leader in plastics and materials manufacturing, has an immediate need for an experienced Material Handler, to join their winning team in Portland.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Load raw materials on to machine conveyor belt, i.e., grinders and shredders
Follow equipment procedures to keep line running
Use forklift to transfer material
Follow production schedule to fulfill orders
Abide by all safety policies and practices
Maintain a clean work area
2-week rotational 2*2*3 schedule: Sun, Wed, Thurs and Mon, Tues, Fri, Sat
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship
Be 18 years or older
Candidate must be able to read and write English
Must be able to pass pre-employment background check and drug screen
Be a dependable self-starter with a desire to learn and cross train
Have a strong work ethic, positive attitude, follow direction, and excellent attendance
Previous manufacturing experience a plus, but not necessary
Lift, push or pull up to 50 pounds
Standing for an extended period of time
Lift, throw, bend, squat, twist and reach
Work in both hot and cold conditions
