Hours will vary depending on tutor time availability and student demands for services.

Where does tutoring occur?
All tutoring takes place in The Otis Hawkins Center for Academic & Personal Excellence located inside Farrior Hall on campus. Hours of operation are below.

Yes. The University Athletic Association is a separate entity from UF. All tutors must complete UAA HR paperwork and attend a new tutor orientation even if they are a UF employee.

How will I be notified if I am considered for a tutoring position?
Applicants will be contacted via e-mail if their qualifications match with our current tutor needs.
Note: If an applicant does not hear from us, it means their skills are not needed for the current semester. There is no need to resubmit an application since all applications will be placed in a file for future consideration.

What happens if I am selected to be a tutor?
If an applicant is selected, they will be contacted by a member of the Learning Services staff. Candidates will then attend a UAA tutorial orientation. They will also be required to attend a mandatory compliance and new hire orientation. During the orientation, they will learn about all tutorial procedures.

We will carefully review application materials and match applicants with our current areas of need. Qualified applicants will be contacted for an interview. Please note that applications are accepted and reviewed year-round. If hired, you will be required to complete the federal Employment Eligibility Verification Form I-9. You will also be required to present acceptable and original documents to prove your identity and authorization to work in the United States. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future.
