General Purpose of the Position:

The Customer Infrastructure Project Coordinator assists with management of the facilities and internal client deployment process. This includes electrical load management and forecasting, coordinating contractors, resources, and bids.  This position will work with Sales, Operational, and Construction teams, and direct with clients as needed.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Electrical load management of various systems from utility to branch circuit levels
  • Coordination of trades and flow of work
  • Manages multiple projects at one time
  • Manages and tracks owner provided equipment as ordered by the department.  Coordinates deliveries based on need and timing
  • Coordinates vendors for testing and installation of electrical systems
  • Ensures milestones and deadlines are met
  • Demonstrates complete understanding and awareness of project requirements
  • Has the ability to estimate, recognize change, and take appropriate action
  • Corresponds with Client, Owner, Engineer, and Subcontractors
  • Reviewing project or material quotes for accuracy and consistency prior to submitting for approval
  • Ensure information is readily available for projects in a clear and concise manner
  • Makes sound business decisions and ensures meticulous follow up on items to push the projects along to completion
  • Data entry and analysis

Other Duties:

  • Performs all other duties as assigned and/or reassigned, as required, at anytime with willingness and a positive attitude

Required Job Skills:

  • Understanding of electrical systems used in a data center environment including feeders, transformers, generators, switchgear, UPS systems, DC power systems, ATS/STS, distribution equipment, air handling units
  • Possess an understanding of electrical systems and power management
  • Understanding of construction blueprints and electrical one lines
  • Demonstrates knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field
  • Analyzes and resolves problems, and effectively communicates with all levels of personnel
  • Utilizes clear and positive communication skills; excellent both written and oral communications and team skills
  • Performs work tasks by receiving direction and then working independently with an interest in quickly learning and applying new skills and abilities

Education and Experience:

Education:        

  • High School or equivalent
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • A combination of education and work experience will also be considered in lieu of degree

Experience:                             

  • 5 or more years of experience in the field or in a related area.
  • Some construction field management preferred

Computer Equipment and Software:

  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Office Suite, Outlook and Excel specifically
  • Intermediate knowledge of PDF editing software preferred
  • Construction bidding software preferred

On occasion it may be necessary to lift and carry or manipulate items of up to 50 lbs., walk over uneven or unpaved ground to reach a worksite in construction zones.  This position may be required to perform a variety of construction tasks in all areas and aspects of the construction project including scaffold or platform work, confined spaces and exposure to outside elements. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands, stand, walk, bend, and have specific vision abilities to include close and distance vision, and ability to adjust focus working with computer and business equipment.
