Job Description

The Project Manager is responsible for coordinating the bid process, cost analysis, purchasing, and installation of all FF&E orders and maintaining strong work relationships with vendors, fellow team members, and other departments in order to complete the assigned projects on time and under budget for Wynn Las Vegas.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:  

PROJECT DEVELOPMENT

  • Coordinate and direct the bidding process with the project support team.
  • Establish bid lists for specified commodities based on experience and manufacturing methods.
  • Visit factories to ensure the quality of goods and the efficiency of the manufacturing process.
  • Assist the Purchasing Manager in creating and managing a project budget.
  • Reliable and familiar knowledge of the project status including budget, deliveries, and schedule.

PROJECT ADMINISTRATION

  • Attend various meetings for projects and departmental updates.
  • Negotiate pricing and analyze bid packages to ensure the selected vendor is best suited for the order.
  • Oversee and expedite orders placed by the project team to ensure the schedule and budget restraints are being followed.
  • Update reports and manifests as requested by the Purchasing Manager.
  • Effectively communicate information related to purchase orders to vendors and other members of the project team.
  • Manage vendor submittals with Interiors and researches product efficiencies.
  • Execute tasks assigned by senior members of the project team in an efficient and timely manner.

PROJECT COMPLETION

  • Inspect goods to maintain the high standards necessary for a 5 star property.
  • Manage project installation by interfacing with construction management and contractors.
  • Reconcile budgets and job cost.
  • Manage project “close out” procedures.

STAFFING

  • Manages and supervises project support staff including daily direction of tasks, workload management, addressing performance issues, recognizing and rewarding discretionary efforts of team.
  • Provide additional training and support to project support team.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Leads, maintains and promotes exceptional integrity and reputation of the department.
  • Assists in training and supervision of support team.
  • Maintains strict confidentiality outside the company of all program design, sources and schedules.
  • Ability and positive willingness and duty to work the work varying schedules and hours required to meet the business needs of the project at hand, including travel when necessary. A 50 hour work week is typical.
  • Encourage good relationships, promote team spirit, and insure effective two way and multicultural communications among all WDD disciplines as well as the Operational team, vendor base, and service providers.
  • Accept any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Vice President or Director of Purchasing or Purchasing Manager as required to insure delivery and installation of all required FFE within project schedules and budgets.

Qualifications

  • Any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • Five years of FF&E purchasing experience required.
  • Manufacturing knowledge of FF&E construction.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent computer skills including all Microsoft office programs.
  • Impeccable integrity and organizational skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
  • Team player that thrives in a high-pressure work environment.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
