The University of Washington School of Law is hiring for one entry-level, tenure-track Assistant Professor, to teach and publish in business law, including Business Organizations and courses in the areas of Securities Regulations, Mergers and Acquisitions, Corporate Finance, Bankruptcy, and commercial law.
The faculty member hired for this position will reinvigorate the business law offerings and anchor the School of Law as a major researcher in corporate and business law. Teaching will include Business Organizations and other courses in business law and the JD program depending on teaching needs. The successful applicant will be expected to demonstrate consistent scholarly excellence through regular scholarship production, maintaining the School of Law’s national reputation in business law. The successful applicant will form external relationships and obtain external funding for related programs.
This is a full-time, 9-month position - September through June of every academic year. It's promotion eligible through the professorial track. The anticipated start date is September 2024.
The base salary range for this position will be $16,000 - $18,000 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination.
