You will:
Assist the other Senior Engineers with leadership duties of the Electrical Department
Represent the firm in all interactions with clients, architects, contractors and other project consultants
Manage the technical and financial aspects of both large and small projects
Prepare proposals and administering project contracts with the client
Perform electrical calculations, equipment selection, equipment specification, system design, system layout, field investigation construction administration
Establish electrical design standards and preparing specifications and design criteria for projects
Mentor our junior electrical engineers and acting as a technical resource
Prepare due diligence reports and feasibility studies addressing building electrical systems
Prepare technical presentations and participating in business development activities
Participate in Quality Control sessions critiquing work completed by the electrical staff
You have:
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
Professional Engineer (PE) Registration
Minimum of 5 years of experience working as an electrical engineer for a consulting firm in the design of power distribution, lighting, lighting controls and fire alarm systems in the commercial tenant and office building industry
Thorough familiarity and understanding of electrical service, distribution fit-out for high-rise commercial office buildings in the NYC market
Experience in collaborating with clients and their representatives related to pre-lease services
Working knowledge of life-safety and standby power systems including UPS and Generators
Understanding of LEED and NYCECC compliant lighting controls
Thorough understanding of the National Electric Code, NYC Electrical Code NYC Energy Conservation Code
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Team-oriented mindset
Thorough Understanding of Lighting Control Systems (a plus)
