Description

The Division of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (AID) in the Department of Medicine at the University of Washington is seeking applicants for a full-time (1.0 FTE) faculty position. The position would be at the Clinical Assistant Professor or the Clinical Associate Professor level. Clinical faculty hold annual appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30) and may be reappointed to subsequent annual terms. Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off. This position is anticipated to start in October 2024.

The successful candidate will provide ambulatory care and inpatient consultative services for patients representing the full spectrum of general infectious disease care including travel medicine and care of people with HIV. This position may also include antimicrobial stewardship responsibilities. University of Washington faculty engage in clinical, teaching, and research activities.

The base salary range for this position will be: $16,987 - $18,630 per month ($203,844 – $223,560 annually) commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination.

Other compensation associated with this position may include incentive pay and administrative supplement.

For practitioners holding an appointment in one of the physicians practice plans, see the link for additional benefits that may be available at https://faculty.uwmedicine.org/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/UWP-Benefits-Summary-for-recruitingef-edits-v3.pdf

Qualifications

Applicants must hold a MD or DO (or foreign equivalent) and be board eligible/board certified in Infectious Diseases (or foreign equivalent).
